Custom Wired Enclosures

Many people will require a wired enclosure with various type of connectors.
As there are many connector options - This page will help to determine if your desired enclosure is possible with stock materials.
In most cases, if stock materials are an option, we can produce the custom enclosure within 3 to 4 business days, once the order is placed.

First Step

Click on the email link to open your email client - Email - leave that window open so you can add info as we go along.

Second Step

Review the 2 basic options for custom wired enclosures

1) Use a Stock Enclosure
As many different connectors will fit the same size hole we can often put multiple types of
connectors in the same stock enclosure. The chart below will help you determine if this is
a possible option - if it is we can most likely produce your custom layout in a matter of days.

Stock enclosures are available in the following configurations:

1RU 8 port front to 8 port rear - 4.25" deep or 8.25" deep
1RU 12 port front to 12 port rear - 4.25" deep or 8.25" deep
1RU 16 port front to 16 port rear - 4.25" deep or 8.25" deep
2RU 8 port front to 8 port front - 4.25" deep
2RU 12 port front to 12 port front - 4.25" deep
2RU 16 port front to 16 port front - 4.25" deep
2) Produce a True Custom Wired Enclosure
If using the options above will not suit your needs then we would have to produce a true custom enclosure.
True custom enclosures involve design and production time which can average 2 to 3 weeks.

Third Step

If you think one of the stock enclosures will work for you indicate in your email which one (number of ports & depth).

Review the list of available of connector options below and let us know what connectors you want.

Be very specific - as the list is!
Many connectors will have multiple options - we need to know which one you want!
For instance don't just tell us "DB9" - as the list shows there are 4 choices for DB9 -
for DB9 we need to know Female to Female, Male to Male, Female to Male, or Male to Female.

We will need to know the exact layout of the connectors and ay wiring requirements and any other info you think we may need.

If you need any other wired enclosures please provide information for each one, as you did for the first.

Fourth Step

Please include your full name and a good daytime telephone number, just in case we need to contact you for more info.

Fifth Step

Send us the Email and we'll reply with a link to your quote/order page  - usually within 72 hours.

B = BULKHEAD = Female connector on front and back
S = SOLDER = Solder points on rear of connector
T = TERMINAL = Screw Terminals or Punch Down for solderless
