Sometimes a floor box with various type of connectors and/or a non-standard layout is required.

First Step

Second Step

Review the 2 basic options for custom Floor Boxes 1) Use a Stock Floor Box As many different connectors will fit the same size hole we can often put multiple types of connectors in the same stock patch panel. The chart below will help you determine if this is a possible option - if it is we can most likely produce your custom layout in a matter of days. Stock floor boxes are available in the following configurations: 4 Port  - (1 row of 4 in 1 side of box) 8 Port - (1 row of 4 in each side of box) 16 Port - (2 rows of 4 in each side of box) 2) Use a Master Floor Box Our Master Floor Box holds 4 module plates - we have various module plates to allow unlimited layout possibilities. The chart below will help you determine if this is a possible option - if it is we can most likely produce your custom layout in a matter of days.

Third Step

Indicate in your email which of the 2 options above (stock, or master) you think will suit you best. Review the list of available of connector options below and let us know what connectors you want. Be very specific - as the list is! Many connectors will have multiple options - we need to know which one you want! For instance don't just tell us "DB9" - as the list shows there are 4 choices for DB9 - for DB9 we need to know Female to Female, Male to Male, Female to Male, or Male to Female. If you have a preferred layout for the connectors please note this and any other info you think we may need. If you need any other floor boxes please provide information for each one, as you did for the first.

Fourth Step

Please include your full name and a good daytime telephone number, just in case we need to contact you for more info.

Fifth Step

Send us the Email and we'll reply with a link to your quote/order page  - usually within 72 hours.

* The XLR adapters are long and when used in a floor box you must be sure you have enough clearance
below the floor to allow for the length of the adapter itself and enough room for cables to plug into
these adapters. Also with the adapters being so long installing the box can be difficult – the adapters
may have to be removed – then install the box – and then reinstall the adapters.
