Genmount Hardware

DB25 Gender Changers with stock hardware and close-up of the stock hardware - note that the height of the jack screws and hex nuts are equal to the height of the connector itself when not mounted in any panel or plate. Stock hardware is not designed with the ability to be properly mounted to thicker material, such as patch panels. The head of the jack screw and the height of the hex nut cannot be higher than the connector itself - if it is a cable cannot seat properly. (Stock Female to Female gender changers come with Jack Screws and Hex Nuts - Male to Males and Male to Females only come with Jack Screws).

Using stock hardware to mount gender changer to panel - note that the height of the Jack Screw head is taller than the connector itself after mounting it in a panel - this does not allow the cable to seat properly.

To mount gender changers to our plates and panels we have specially manufactured jack screws - top is the stock jack screw - bottom is the specifically designed genmount jack screw with a shorter head and longer threading to account for panel thickness.

Our genmount jack screw with hex nut used to mount a gender changer in a panel .060 thick - note the connector height matches the jack screw and hex nut height. The cable seats properly into the connector.
