Panel Labeling Options
Basically there are 3 options available for labeling panels.
(1) Stock port number labelsThese are made out of the same material as automotive signs - they are a durable laminated vinyl - easy to apply, cost effective, and if necessary, removable and replaceable. You will be able to apply your port numbers wherever you want - above, below, left or right of the connectors.

(2) Custom LabelsIf you would like custom vinyl labels we can produce them for you - email us with your special requests and we'll reply with a quote.
(3) Custom Silk ScreeningIf you prefer a more permanent labeling method we can have your panels silk screened to your specifications. Email us with your special requests and we'll reply with a quote. *Please note that silk screening does involve set up fees, production costs and extended production time - and as such, small quantity silk screens production runs may not be cost effective.

Labels - Laminated Vinyl Installation Tips

This is the method that we use, and have found to produce the best results:

  • Clean, dry hands will help to produce the best results.
  • We use a heat gun (hair dryer will work) on a fairly low setting to warm (not hot) up the panel or plate.
  • We use tweezers to remove the label from the label sheet to avoid dirt and oils getting on the adhesive side of the label.
  • While holding the label with tweezers we apply light pressure on the top of the label to place in the desired location.
  • We then use the heat gun (or hair dryer) again to warm the label and panel together.
  • We then use a applicator, such as a credit card to press the label onto the panel - being careful not to damage the label.
  • The above process may have to be done a few times to get a good adhesion for these labels with the powder coating.
